Brief
Canada Water London commissioned Vivid Squad to produce a social media reel for the Love Summer 2022 campaign — eight weeks of summer programming at the waterside estate, brought together into a single 60-second piece of content for social channels.
The brief was to capture the essence of the season across a varied programme: live music shaping the atmosphere, terrarium workshops, street food, and conversations with the community members who were discovering and returning to Canada Water's summer offer.

About the Project
Eight weeks into 60 seconds is an editing challenge as much as a production one. The brief required selecting moments that felt representative rather than comprehensive — a few seconds of music, a pair of hands in a terrarium workshop, a conversation that captured someone discovering the programme for the first time — and assembling them into something that communicated the full season's character in under a minute.
The community interview element gave the reel authenticity that event footage alone can't produce. Attendees speaking directly to camera about their experience — what brought them, what surprised them, what they'd tell someone who hadn't been — added a layer of genuine endorsement that performs better on social than any produced voiceover.
This was an earlier commission from Canada Water London, predating Vivid Squad's ongoing partnership with Greenwich Peninsula — the same estate network — which has since grown to cover multiple events per year.
