Brief

British Land commissioned Vivid Squad to document Lifesize London: The BIG Game — a giant interactive board game that toured three of its London campuses over the summer of 2026. Office workers booked free lunchtime sessions through each campus app, including My Regent's Place and My Broadgate, then played on a larger-than-life board with giant dice, trivia and hands-on team challenges.

The campaign ran in three stops: Paddington Central on 16 July, Regent's Place on 28 July and Broadgate on 11 August 2026. Each campus needed the same core set of content, shaped around its own character — so the series felt consistent across British Land's channels while each estate's audience saw its own place, its own people and its own summer atmosphere.

For every stop, the brief called for two 10–15 second vertical social reels — a gameplay reel and a POV reel — plus full lifestyle photography, delivered within 48 hours of the shoot so the content could go live while the installation was still in place.

What We Delivered

  • Gameplay reel for each campus
  • POV reel for each campus, shot on a chest-mounted camera
  • Action, hero & lifestyle photography
  • 48-hour turnaround after every shoot

About the Project

Each campus received two reels built for different jobs. The gameplay reel, Introducing Lifesize London, was a high-energy snapshot of the game and the design of the board — the reel that tells people what it is and why they should book. The POV reel, POV: Your Lunchtime Looks Like This, was a first-person story shot on a chest-mounted camera, following a player from the moment they leave the office to their winning move on the podium. POV content puts the viewer inside the experience rather than watching it from the side, which is exactly what an invitation to play needs to do.

The photography covered three layers of the campaign. Action shots of teams rolling the giant dice, moving pieces and using the app; hero imagery and portraits of the people playing; and lifestyle scenes that captured the wider summer mood of each estate. Our style throughout was natural, candid and vibrant — real office workers enjoying a lunch break, not a staged advert.

Every stop had its own story to tell. At Paddington Central, where the series began in The Amphitheatre, we added rooftop photography from 4 Kingdom Street to show the scale of the board within the campus. At Regent's Place, the coverage extended beyond the game to a lunchtime window box workshop in The Plaza, the outdoor big screen, deckchairs and food trucks. At Broadgate, the finale played out in Exchange Square and Broadgate Circle, where we captured the competitive spirit of the final games against a backdrop of busy retail and social life.

Filming members of the public on managed London estates comes with real responsibilities, and the production was built around them. We submitted Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) and permit applications to each estate management team before every shoot. On site, we managed consent forms for every identifiable participant in line with GDPR and British Land's privacy standards, and anyone whose consent was not secured was removed from the final edit. We also followed site-specific framing direction so the footage stayed focused on the installation and the atmosphere.

The 48-hour turnaround after each shoot meant every campus could publish its content while the board was still on site and bookings were still open — turning each stop's coverage into promotion for the rest of its run. Several of the reels were published by the estates' own Instagram accounts. It builds on our wider work with British Land, from the Canada Water Boardwalk launch to interior photography at Paddington Central.

FAQ

Common questions

Can you film the same campaign across several London locations?

Yes. For British Land's Lifesize London we covered three campuses — Paddington Central, Regent's Place and Broadgate — with a gameplay reel, a POV reel and photography at each, tailored to the character of every site so the series felt joined up across the brand's channels.

What is POV video content?

POV (point-of-view) video is filmed from a participant's perspective, often on a chest-mounted camera, so the viewer feels they are taking part. We used it for Lifesize London's 'POV: Your Lunchtime Looks Like This' reels, following a player from their office to the winning move.

How quickly can you deliver event reels and photos?

For Lifesize London we delivered within 48 hours of each shoot, so content went live while the installation was still in place. We agree turnaround times with every client before the event.

How do you handle consent and GDPR when filming the public?

We manage consent forms on site for every identifiable participant and remove anyone whose consent is not secured from the final edit. On Lifesize London this followed both GDPR and British Land's own privacy standards.

Do you handle RAMS and filming permits on London estates?

Yes. We prepare Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) and submit permit applications to each estate management team before we shoot, as we did for every Lifesize London location.
