Brief

British Land is one of the UK's largest property companies, and its staff networks are a central part of how the business builds an inclusive culture. Each network brings colleagues together around shared identities, experiences and causes — from carers and families to wider diversity and community groups — and together they shape what it feels like to work at British Land.

Vivid Squad was asked to bring that culture to life on camera. The brief was a video series that would raise the visibility of the staff networks inside the business and beyond it: showing how they help employees feel valued and supported, and making the case that British Land is a diverse, equitable and welcoming place to work.

The series needed to work for several audiences at once — colleagues watching on internal channels, candidates and partners finding it on the website, and a wider audience on social media. That meant planning one shoot that could feed a long-form internal film, a shorter website cut and social edits, without asking the interviewees for more time than a single day.

What We Delivered

  • Six on-location talking-head interviews
  • 3-minute internal brand film
  • 2-minute website cut
  • Two social media edits

About the Project

We filmed all six interviews in a single day at British Land's York House head office. Running a multi-subject interview shoot inside a working office means planning around diaries and keeping each setup efficient, so we built a consistent lit interview set that could turn around quickly between contributors while keeping a cohesive look across the whole series. Senior leaders and network representatives were filmed to the same standard, so every voice carries equal weight on screen.

To keep the story authentic, we combined our interview footage with B-roll and photography supplied by the networks themselves — real moments from their own activities and collaborative events, including the "Just Like Us" event run with the Carers and Families Network. That ground-level material shows what the networks actually do, rather than describing it in the abstract, and gives the interviews a visual context rooted in everyday working life at British Land.

In post-production we handled the full edit: colour grading to unify the interview footage with the supplied material, branded motion graphics including logo stings and custom lower thirds, royalty-free music selection, and closed captions so every version is accessible and works with the sound off. From the same shoot we delivered a 3-minute long-form internal brand film, a 2-minute website cut and two social media edits shaped for engagement on feed.

The result is a polished series that lifts the profile of British Land's staff networks across internal and external channels. Pairing executive perspectives from the CEO and COO with the grassroots voices of network representatives shows a commitment that runs from the top of the business to its everyday culture — and gives British Land a set of assets it can keep using for internal communications, employer branding and recruitment.

FAQ

Common questions

Can you film several interviews in one day at our office?

Yes. For British Land we filmed six talking-head interviews in a single day at their York House head office in London. We set up one consistent interview set, schedule contributors in short slots around their diaries, and keep changeovers quick so the day runs on time and every interview matches visually.

Can you use our existing footage and photography in the edit?

Absolutely. On the British Land staff networks series we combined our interview footage with B-roll and photography supplied by the networks, then colour graded everything so it sits together as one piece. Using your own material from real events adds authenticity that a staged shoot can't always match.

What versions do we get from one interview shoot?

We plan the shoot so one day of filming covers every channel. For British Land that meant a 3-minute internal brand film, a 2-minute website cut and two social media edits — all with branded lower thirds, logo stings, licensed music and closed captions.

Do you produce employer branding and internal culture videos in London?

Yes — employer branding, staff network and internal communications videos are a regular part of our interview filming work across London. We film leadership and employees with the same care, so senior voices and colleague stories carry equal weight on screen.
