Brief

Greenwich Peninsula commissioned Vivid Squad to photograph the launch of their new weekly parkrun — a free, community 5k run along the riverside path at The Tide, overlooking the Thames. The brief called for a mix of formal photocall coverage with local councillors and Knight Dragon's executive team, candid community shots, and evergreen fitness imagery for use across social media, press, and the Greenwich Peninsula website.

The shoot ran from early morning to mid-morning, beginning with riverside atmosphere ahead of the runners' arrival, through the official start line photocall, the race itself, and the post-run community gathering. Delivering 50 edited hero shots in portrait and landscape within 48 hours meant the client could publish post-event content on LinkedIn and social channels while momentum was still high.

What We Delivered

  • 50 edited hero shots
  • Formal photocall coverage
  • Evergreen fitness & community imagery
  • Portrait & landscape formats for press and web

About the Project

The images were delivered by Monday morning — 48 hours after the shoot — in time for Greenwich Peninsula's post-event LinkedIn post and social channels. The photocall set provided portrait and landscape formats, giving the client immediate flexibility for press use, web headers, and LinkedIn thumbnails.

This project is part of Vivid Squad's ongoing content partnership with Greenwich Peninsula — covering events and activations across the estate throughout the year. Arriving with an existing knowledge of the site, its best sightlines, and the client's editorial preferences means the team focuses on coverage quality rather than logistics.

FAQ

Common questions

What does event photography for a community parkrun involve?

We cover the full arc of the event — from early morning atmosphere and setup through the official start, the race in progress, and the finish line. For the Greenwich Peninsula Parkrun, that included formal photocall coverage with councillors and the Knight Dragon executive team, candid community portraits, action shots during the run, and lifestyle imagery at the post-run gathering.

How quickly do you deliver event photography?

For events with post-event social media deadlines, we target a 24–48 hour turnaround on a hero edit. For the Greenwich Peninsula Parkrun, 50 edited hero shots in both portrait and landscape were delivered by Monday morning — allowing the client to publish LinkedIn and social content while the event was still fresh.
