Festival Photography — Turning Tides Music Festival
Event photography for the Turning Tides Music Festival at Greenwich Peninsula's Design District — capturing live performances, crowd energy, and the atmosphere of an outdoor summer music festival.
Brief
Greenwich Peninsula commissioned Vivid Squad to photograph Turning Tides — capturing the festival's performances, crowds, and riverside setting. As Greenwich Peninsula's ongoing content partner, we cover events and activations across the estate throughout the year, and Turning Tides is part of that programme.
We shot the festival for atmosphere and moment — the acts, the audience, and the energy that defines a day on the Peninsula — delivering a set built for the client's social, press, and marketing use. Festival photography has to capture both the scale of the event and the human moments within it.

About the Project
The photography gave Greenwich Peninsula a strong set of images representing Turning Tides across their channels — content that communicates the energy of the festival and the appeal of the destination. Event imagery is how a place turns a single day into ongoing promotion for the next one.
This shoot is part of Vivid Squad's ongoing partnership with Greenwich Peninsula, covering events across the estate throughout the year. Knowing the site, its best sightlines, and the client's editorial preferences means we focus on coverage quality rather than logistics.

FAQ
Common questions
Do you photograph festivals and outdoor events in London?
Yes — festival and event photography is one of our specialisms. We cover music, community, and cultural events across London, capturing both the scale and the human moments. For Greenwich Peninsula we photographed the Turning Tides festival as part of our ongoing content partnership.
What does festival photography need to capture?
Both the scale and the detail. A festival set has to convey the energy and size of the event while capturing the human moments — performers, crowds, and atmosphere — that make people want to be there next time.
Do you work with venues and estates on ongoing event coverage?
Yes — we partner with venues and estates including Greenwich Peninsula to cover events and activations throughout the year. An ongoing relationship means we arrive knowing the site and the brand, and focus entirely on coverage.
